is the Lenovo R61 laptop a good computer? it’s on sale, and I want to buy it, can you help me??

Lenovo is the old IBM Thinkpad and is a very good machine. The machine specs you show seem good for a laptop costing $1200. You might just check the lenovo.com site and see if buying direct is cheaper (although I doubt it).
Always liked the Thinkpad keyboard. Have had two and they were fine machines. Screen size was the only reason I bought a Dell (17″ widescreen not available in Thinkpads)
I would recommend the Thinkpad..
